Misokko Hook is a miso ramen specialist in Ogikubo that opened in 2018 and quickly rose to become one of Tokyo's most acclaimed miso ramen shops. The owner trained extensively at Hanamichi, the respected miso ramen shop near Nogata Station. The broth is made from pork and chicken without any seafood elements, relying instead on a complex proprietary miso blend. The noodles are thick and hefty with a satisfying chew. On weekends, lines of over 50 people form before opening. The Tokyo-style miso approach differs from Sapporo miso ramen with a more emulsified, mellow profile, and Hook has become one of its foremost ambassadors.
