Jikasei Chuka Soba Toshioka in Waseda was opened in May 2015 by owner Okabe, who spent nearly two decades at the legendary 'Chuka Soba Benten' in Takadanobaba. When Benten closed, Okabe inherited the shop's cherished noodle-making machine. The shop operates with 8 counter seats, with Okabe working alone from 4 AM daily. The self-made thick noodles carry Benten's DNA. The restaurant regularly draws 90-minute queues.
